Kathleen Parker, the S.C.-based conservative syndicated columnist, will speak at the University of South Carolina on Nov. 19.
Parker, whose columns appear in The State, has been invited by the School of Journalism and Mass Communications for its Buchheit Family Lecture Series.

A _conservative_ columnist named Kathleen Parker? That could be interesting. I seldom get to read HER stuff.
It seems there's ANOTHER columnist named Kathleen Parker, whose columns also appear in _The State_. She bashes real conservatives, and praises the spinelessness, fecklessness, & acquiescence to leftist statism, which keeps getting tagged "moderate" and "independent."
Maybe they need to use middle initials or numbers or something, so we know which one we're reading.

Ditto Don't Tread. Kathleen Parker backed the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate--in the history of the Senate--as her choice for President of the United States.
If Kathleen Parker can still be called a conservative, that label has utterly lost its meaning.
