S.C. Republicans enthusiastic about Palin
Republican presidential nominee-to-be John McCain today announced his running mate, Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska.
Top S.C. Republicans hailed the pick.
“Republicans in South Carolina are extremely excited to rally behind the McCain-Palin ticket. Sarah Palin is an outstanding selection to be America’s next vice president. She is a strong pro-life, pro-family conservative who fights for the values that make America great.”
-- Katon Dawson, S.C. Republican Party Chairman
Sarah Palin is an exciting choice by Senator McCain. She completes a strong ticket that will bring a real record of change and reform to Washington. Governor Palin is a strong conservative with executive experience who has cut wasteful spending, opposed earmarks and shown courage in taking on corruption in her own party.
-- U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint
"For what John wants to do in Washington, he couldn't have made a better choice."
-- U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, to FOX News, saying Palin is a reformer who will cut taxes and hold the line on spending.

McCain just put a former mayor of 9000 people with no political or worldly experience outside of Alaska a 72 year old, highly medicated heartbeat away from the Presidency. Apparently he feels experience isn't needed to be President either. So much for that line of attack against Obama.
From what I've read, she could be a real force to reckon with in 2016 on her own.
Either way, this year we make history. Either a black male or white female will get elected into the Executive Brach of government.
We should all feel proud at that moment.

How many people lived in the towns that Obama or Biden were mayors of? Obama and Biden were governors of which states? Governor Palin has more executive experience than Obama and Biden combined!

Hate to mention this but the mayor of a small town and 18 months as governor of a small state does not equate to the type of leadership needed to get us out of the mess that the republicans have handed us. After all they went with what has to be the saddest example of a President in our history, and for eight years. We have all lived the country run by this administration much to our peril and now they want more. Give me a break.

Funny how experience is all of a sudden more important to the Democrats. The truth is she's done more than Obama ever has...AND she doesn't have any plans to redistribute wealth, force unions down the throats of everyone including small business owners, or pass the new fairness doctrine essentially shutting down free speech on the air waves AND THE INTERNET!!! By all means...let your hatred for Bush push you to vote for a MARXIST!

"Either way, this year we make history."
Are we really this freaking gullible?!?!?

Tony, as the next Vice President of the United States said "you're entitled to your own opinion, just not your own facts."
Obama has more experience than Palin but in your zeal you totally lost the point. McCain's only winning argument (that by the way was beginning to gain tractions) was that Obama didn't have enough experience to be President. McCain just took his best attack and threw it away as when you hold resume next to resume, Obama is way more presidential than Palin. But don't take my word. Let's here from a fellow party member whose in a position to have some credibility on Palin.
"She's not prepared to be governor. How can she be prepared to be vice president or president? Look at what she's done to this state. What would she do to the nation?"
-Alaska State Senate President Lyda Green (Repubican)
His pick makes everyone question his judgement which falls into Obama's line of attack.
Like it or not, McCain just flushed the rest of his meek campaign down the river.
Mitt & Huck are dancing in the streets by dodging this bullet.

Looks like McCain has once again sabotaged himself. Everything he keeps trying to attack Obama about ends up coming full circle right back to him. And the funny thing is, it's his own fault for it. Why, when you are attacking Obama because of his lack of experience, would you choose someone who has no experience? We all know the reasoning behind his choice...he just wanted to try to wrangle the PUMAs in to his side. People keep saying that the Democrats need to start fighting back against McCain, but my question is: Why? He's doing a great job on his own of making himself look like a fool. I mean honestly, if something happened to McCain (and given his age and failing mental state, I'd say it is a possibility), would you really want someone who has no experience beyond the borders of Alaska to be running the country?

Ahh Tony, posts such as yours just show the gullibility of the American people. But hey, with most of the mainstream media being run by the GOP, it's understandable.

Looks to me like we have one tough mama coming into the mainstream national political picture.
Women really rule this country. They just let the male be the front man. He may have the zipper but she has the string that loops around his neck. Is anyone worried about Obama's wife? She has not let out all her hate as yet.
