Former President Bill Clinton described House Majority Whip James Clyburn as a former friend in an interview with ABC News this week.
Clinton, asked about his role in the contentious Democratic contest for president between his wife and nominee-to-be Barack Obama, accused Clyburn of having a hand in Clinton's rift with African-American voters.
Some black voters accused Clinton of marginalizing Obama's serious bid for the presidency by comparing Obama's primary wins to the primary wins Jesse Jackson earned during Jackson's symbolic runs for the presidency.
Clyburn interjected, asking the campaigns to soften the tone of the attacks during the S.C. primary. Clyburn told The Wall Street Journal earlier this year about a testy telephone exchange he had with the former president.

Bill Clinton is a liar and he needs to get over it.

Oh well, the Clintons are so passe' - Move on people, there is nothing to see here. I voted for Bill - both terms to be exact, however, I possibly would have voted for Hiliary - UNTIL the claws came out and I was able to see how she would spin her comments and actions, just plain out lying -can't even say she embellished the things she would say. I could not move beyond how she could stand at a podium and hold a straight face as she tried to berate Obama and pass off her nonsense to us. I could only think if she would be so bold as to lie to our face now, what could be expected from her as President? The Clintons have made a huge impact on this country and we are thankful for that - but they need to move on. Its time for a new era.

WHO CARES.....I know I don't care who likes the Clintons or who doesn't....and I care even less about Clyburn.....

Who cares? Expecting both to be in the national arena for a bit longer, this isn't page one above the fold news, but it does portend an issue on the plate for folks in the sixth district when the Clintons most assuredly return in 2010 building bridges for a 2012 run. Unless of course the GOP fantasy of a DNC floor fight erupts over the nomination thanks to the Clintons and the convention degrades to the smoke filled scenario akin to one that yielded Pug Ravenel's gubenatorial nod being vacated for Mr. Dorn. Then it would seem to be an every candidate with a D by their name on the ballot for themselves.
