Quote of the Day so far: Jake Knotts
"So you mean to tell me that if the Sunset Grille, right over here in Lexington County, has dishes stacked up and wants to hire a dishwasher they have to go to the (S.C.) Employment Security Commission first?"
-- Sen. Jake Knotts, R-Lexington, expressing concern the proposed immigration bill that would require employers to verify citizenship before hiring through an online system would be inconvenienced.

Thats what we are saying senior Knotts. We wouldnt have to have it this way if the government had done its job in the first place but you guys ignored the situation thinking it would go away. It didnt and now its worse so vote for the bill and shut up.

No coincidence, I guess, that Senator Knotts has continually taken campaign contributions from those suspected of hiring illegal immigrants. People like the "chicken farmers" in Saluda.
The good (legal) citizens of Saluda would probably disagree with Senator Knotts. Illegal immigrants have overrun the town and it's like a third-world country. Supposedly you have to wear a gas mask to prevent getting tuberculosis.
Senator Knotts' days are numbered and he doesn't even realize his position is out of touch with 90% of South Carolinians. That or he just doesn't care.

Jake Knotts is an idiot, and he proves that everytime he opens his mouth.
It's just a shame that he's redrawn his district to include every mouth-breather in the area that will vote for him. Personally I would vote to keep the seat empty if there were no other option than to vote for him into office.

Who is the moron? Them or us?
This past week certain elected representatives of our state have opened their mouths and exhibited just what type of persons we have elected. Mr. Knotts makes it obvious that he is no different.
Yes senator, all applicants must present certain documentation for completion of the federal I-9.
Now you wonders of intelligence have decided that one I-9 is not sufficient. You have decided we need a second one at the state level for the illegals to make more false statements on.
The I-9 is part of the cause for our problems. The intent of the form is that "honest" information will be provided.
Oh, I believe we have data that will provide us information that confirms we as a country have had somewhere between 12 and 20 million illegals that have lied on their I-9s. We have between 200,000 and 400,000 of them in our state.
Knotts rates down at the bottom with McConnell, Land, and Rutherford. All
have demonstrated their lack of knowledge on the exact impact illegals have had on our state.
A previous post mention businesses in Lexington County that employ illegals. There are many and politicians that look the other way. I wonder how many illegals are arrested in the towns, cities, and county of Lexington that are illegals.
If these jurisdictions participated in the 287(g)program, the illegals would be detained when arrested. If they were sentenced, they would be deported after serving their time. Ask the sheriff of York County? He has apprehended over 100 that are scheduled for deportation.
Each of the above mentioned politicians have demonstrated that they lack the ability, knowledge, comprehension, enlightenment, perception, recognition, and wisdom to represent just one citizen of this state. It is time for them to go.
Who are the morons? Them or us? Today the morons are "them". If any of the above named imposters for representatives of the citizens of this state stand for re-election and are in fact re-elected, then "we" are the morons.
