Rob Miller, a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House in S.C.'s 2nd Congressional District, has $200,000 on hand, according to his campaign.
Miller, who retired from the Marine Corps in February, is one of two Democrats running for the seat.
Joe Wilson has represented the district, which runs from Richland and Lexington counties south to Beaufort County, since 2001.
The fundraising total, said Miller's campaign manager Lachlan McIntosh, proves Miller can raise enough money to challenge Wilson.
