Obama got 80% of the black vote and 20%of the white vote and that is how he won SC. The black voters made up more than 50% of the vote in SC. Obama is now the black candidate! The problem is that SC is the only state where 50% of the primary voters are black. California only has 8%. That the fact.

I listened to what promises the canidates made .It made me realize that they arent going to do anything .All the talk of health care ,new jobs, tax breaks ,but not once did i hear about the disabled, senior citizens trying to survive on their small checks that doesnt even last i/2 of month ,nor about the homeless thats out there through no fault of their own .We ,the poor, senior citizens are the forgotten people .

The only thing that scares me about Obama is the fact that he is not listening to the people when it comes to ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. I fear that he will turn his back on those of us that have seen our wages stagnate and cannot find work thanks to the cheap illegal workers spreading all over this country. That is no way to turn around the economy. Why is it that Obama does not put U.S. citizens and LPR's first? If he wants more support he needs to address this issue and help us get our jobs back. Pandering to illegal aliens will turn off a lot of voters. Our tax dollars should NEVER be spent on illegal aliens while our own people suffer. I wish that someone would bring Obama to his senses on this issue.
Illegal immigration is costing the TAX payers a fortune and it has to stop.

I think those people that commented that Senator Obama is not including the poor, elderly, and homeless must not be listening. The Senator will improve the Medicare programs that will allow the elderly and the poor to obtain medication for less. I ask again, "what are you guys listening to?"
The person that made the comment about Senator Obama becoming the black candidate is ignorant and really need to take a look at the makeup of the Obama coalition. This person is trying to create a divide..Wake up and get real hiilary for change person.

Go Hillary!
Obama's education reform is for ...parents to cut off the tv... and his health reform is to get ...more generic drugs at cheaper prices... If you voted for him you deserve to live with his policy reform ideas.

to cin
parents do have to shut off the tv and be better parents - don't you agree with that?
there should be generic drugs - in the USA with all the lobby and advistising expenses we pay 25% more for the same exact branded drug that they do in Canada - don't you think people in the usa should be able to buy the drugs made in their own country by us companies cheaper or at the same price as in Canada?
those sound like too pretty good ideas to me to get started

To imply that Hillary's lost in South Carolina because a majority of black people voted for her is ignorant. Before the voting took place Hillary had the support of most African Americans and Whites in the state of South Carolina, however she lost their support for reasons that had nothing to do with race or gender. What excuse are you going to use to justify her lost in Iowa; where most of the population is white. It is sad to see Hillary claiming that that people of Iowa voted for Obama because they were less informed and not serious about their future. A leader should never suggest that any segement of it's citizens are stupid because they elected not to support them, afterall this is a democracy. Hillary was miles ahead in almost every state, yet once the dust settled Barack had closed the gap by only a few votes. Unfortunately Hillary is out classed by Obama and soon this fact will be revealed. Hillary's pride is hurt and so are the prides of those who thought that they would not be defeated by a black man in a bid for the white house. We only need to look at the past few years to realize that this world was about to be transformed forever. Afterall, the entire world witnessed how ineffective we had become as leaders at home and abroad. This generation will not tollerate racism, exploitation, or political games that harbors hate and divides The United States of America.

To those who question Barack Obama's inclusion of senior citizens and think the Clintons' positions on the issues superior--have you studied Obama's positions? Go to www.barackobama.com and go from there to the "issues."
I'm a grandmother who believes the most promising future for our children--all our children regardless of race, sex, religion, class--lies in Barack Obama's presidency. It's his leadership strengths that inspire me and others to want to work along with President Obama to make the positive changes he so well articulates for all of us. With just a little understanding of how the Democratic Party machine and media work, we know that it will be nothing short of a miracle for Obama to be nominated. Therefore, we who believe he is the best candidate to rally and lead us in solving 21st Century problems will have to work untiringly through Nov 4 to get the truth out to everyone who will listen.

The real winners in the primary are the people of South Carolina. I think the young folks turned out in great numbers.I don't remember this many people voting in a long time.
