U.S. Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign introduced a television ad in South Carolina today that seeks to underscore the Arizona Republican’s sense of humor, war-time heroism and fiscal conservatism.
The ad highlights McCain’s opposition to an effort by U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y. to spend $1 million in taxpayer money to create a museum commemorating the famous Woodstock rock festival that took place in Upstate New York in 1969.
The rock festival was an important cultural moment for many Americans, but it was also a scene of mass, public use of illegal drugs. McCain, who was a prisoner of war in Vietnam at the time, opposed using public funds for the museum.
His 30-second ad reminds voters about that fact.
“A few days ago, Sen. Clinton tried to spend $1 million on the Woodstock concert museum,” the ad quotes McCain as saying. “Now my friends, I wasn’t there. I’m sure it was a cultural and pharmaceutical event. I was...I was tied up at the time.”
After applause and laughter, McCain’s ad closes with this line from the senator: “No one can be president of the United States that supports projects such as these. I’m John McCain, and I approve this message.”

McCain-Feingold. I’m John McCain, and I approve this message.” No one else allowed to speak.
“No one can be president of the United States that supports projects such as these."

McCain Is Stealing Huckabee's Lines!
Now that all of the polls show that the Economy is the biggest issue to voters McCain is talking like Huckabee!
McCain said many times "American manufacturing jobs are gone for good." Wrong!
Like Mike Huckabee says,"What would we have done in WWII without our Manufacturing base?"
Mike Huckabee has the best plan to make America Energy
Independent so we stop sending our money to terrorist
countries AND this will create thousands of jobs here in the USA.
VOTE MIKE HUCKABEE!

THE COUNTRIES DEMOGRAPHICS DONOT SUPPORT THE ELECTION OF EITHER OBAMA OR HILLARY, PAST THE NOMINATION... THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY JEOPARDIZED THERE ONLY CHANCE OF WINNING IN NOV BY NOT RUNNING FORMER VICE PRESIDENT AL GORE, GOV EVAN BYAH OR SEN JOHN EDWARDS...I BELIEVE THIS WILL BE ONE OF THE MOST CRITICAL MISTAKES OF THE 2008 ELECTION IN HINDSIGHT. THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT @JOHN MCCAIN. WOULDNT IT BE GREAT IF SOUTH CAROLINA SHOWS THE REST OF THE NATION THAT IT HAS MORE SENSE TO NOMINATE A CANDIDATE THAT CAN ACTUALLY BEAT ANY REPUBLICAN? REALCLEARPOLITICS.COM

The very liberal John McCain sponsored the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill to legalize 20 million illegal aliens.
The very liberal John McCain was one of only two Republican senators to vote against the Bush tax cuts.
The very liberal John McCain told the San Francisco Chronicle that if his daughter wanted an abortion, he would pay for it.
The very liberal John McCain called Bible-believing Christians "agents of intolerance" when he ran for president in 2000.
There is ONLY one candidate who can beat the very liberal John McCain in South Carolina, and that is Governor Mike Huckabee.

John McCain has baggage I was taught by Coach Frank McGuire St.John's, North Carolina an South Carolina. If you can't say anything good about people don't say anything. I have nothing more to say.

One might ask: "Why were the New Hampshire polls only wrong on the Hillary/Obama matchup?
Hillary's emergence from a potential Obama New Hampshire "blowout" is readily understandable. In a carefully calculated move Bill and Hilla once again played the "victim card". A strategy that was so successful in countering the Monica scandal, when Hillary, the serial "enabler", and Bill, the serial "groper" put on an academy award performance for several months to convince gullible woman to pull the sympathy lever in the voting booth for them. The second factor was Bill, the draft dodger's, false accusation of flip flopping on the Iraq issue against Obama. It was actually Hillary who was the serial flip-flopper on this issue. Obama to his credit, as a matter of conscience, refused to deny American troops the funding for the bullets and equipment that they required to survive in ongoing combat. Hillary, on the other hand, with no such compelling principles, was one of only two U.S. Senators who voted to deny funding for essential equipments for our troops who they had "previously" voted to commit to lethal combat. Obama made the classical rookie error of not responding to Slick's false accusation, which he could have easily turned to Hillary's well deserved detriment. And third, in a State where it's permissable to register and vote on the same day, the Clinton machine transported bus-loads of out-of-state voters to New Hampshire to inflate the voting rolls for Hillary. Prompting some local small town residents to remark that they were amazed to see so many out-of-state residents at the polling places whom they had never seen before. Does any reasonable individual really want to return the Clinton cabal/scandals to the White House? Greg Neubeck

hey,
unlike Romney and Huckabee, both of whom will say ANYTHING for a vote, McCain speaks the truth. His saying that SOME of the jobs will never return was accurate. Do you want a doctor that tells you the truth and treats the disease, or do you want one who will tell you what you want to hear?
Also, if you listen to his whole speech, he outlined a plan to help generate NEW jobs as well as provide federal funding for retraining. And how is it that anyone can question the patriotism of someone who spent six years in a POW camp AND has a son enlisted in the marines and another at the Naval Academy??? Jeez, what's up with this ridiculous negative campaigning?? Talk about selective listening....
