Right to Life group supports Thompson
Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson has picked up the endorsement of the National Right to Life Committee, an anti-abortion group that also donates to candidates that share its views.
“Our endorsement is a testament to Senator Thompson’s long-standing pro-life record, his commitment to unborn children, and our belief in his ability to win," said Wanda Franz, president of the group.
The grassroots groups claims members in 3,000 chapters across all 50 states. Thompson, the group said, has consistently opposed abortion and believes the 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion federally, should be overturned. The group also admired Thompson's opposition to federal funding of abortions, embryonic stem cell research and human cloning.
Thompson supports adult stem cell research.

Lets just call this like it is. Total hypocritcal bull. The NRTL group was absolutely terrifed that either Mitt or Rudy, with their very strong liberal positions and tack records while in office, could possibly win and become total wildcards in this topic debate. F.Thompson on the otherhand can be bought as his lobbyist days shows us. Show him some voting love and $ he'll be your big ugly lapdog.

I pretty much agree with the comments David Beasley made about this endorsement.

If ever there was a traitor in South Carolina other than Lindsey Grahamnesty it was David "Turncoat" Beasley.
Thompson is an actor - nothing more or less. He belongs in Hollywood - not in the White House. And Mitt and Rudy will each say any and everything to be elected. If the public wanted to hear that the world is flat, those two who swear by it. The ONLY decent candidate in this election is Ron Paul. He's the only one who had been honest and has stuck by the Consitution.
