First he was Chuck Norris-approved, now Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee is adding The Nature Boy to his corner.
Professional wrestler Ric Flair, 58, is endorsing the former Arkansas governor and Baptist minister for the GOP nomination, the campaign announced Monday.
Flair will host Huckabee at a tailgate before the USC-Clemson game at Williams Brice Stadium on Saturday.
The event is open to the public and begins at 5 p.m. in the parking lot outside the stadium's west entrance.

Whenever I look for help in making those difficult political choices-like who to vote for in the primaries, I always look for Ric Flair's guidance. Who better to steer our nation toward critical and independent thinking that the former WWF & WCW wrestling champ!!! Whoooooo!
The State will never be considered a thinkers paper at this rate.

I am a wrestling fan, and Flair just supports the person who's going to best protect the riches he has.

This is wonderful news for us strong on defense people. If Huckabuck makes it to 1600 Penn Ave, due to some strange divine intervention, he is certain to appoint either Chuck Norris or Ric as Secretary of Defense.

The last time Ric did a tailgate DWI promotion was at a Carolina Panthers home game and they banned him for life from the stadium

I don't know if you realized this, but most of Flair's fans are 20-45 now. He was popular in 87 not 07. I do have to applaud Huckabee for trying new things, but he's turning his campaign in to a laughing stock.
Ron Paul for President!

Ron Paul for President!*Joseph
No doubt he might be the first presidental republican candiate who is locked up by his own Orwellian Homeland Security department from harming himself.
I keep telling myself that can't be that dumb and stupid, but they just keeping proving me wrong...
Go Ron Paul

Go Ron Paul - go right off the cliff!

Ric Flair is a very informed conservative..He knows what values the candidates espouse and he doesn't make these decisions on a whim...Give him credit, he doesn't have to be involved with backing anyone but he is actually a concerned American...

LMAO! This is great. Huckabee's pro-amnesty stance already doomed him. This endorsement from Rick 'Nature Boy' Flair should seal the deal. lol... I love it.

Ric has very strong personal and political convictions. He is a smart guy...how do you think he has survived in the weird world of wrestling longer than anyone else? If he supports Huckabee, i will at least pay attention and learn more about Huckabee. Woooo!

Flair, who predicted a 34-27 Gamecock victory, said Huckabee earned his respect.
Well! It appears that Ric has put a hex on the Huckabee campaign after his prediction from yesterday. Respect is earn at the last sec like most serious issues and Governor Huckabee isn't no field goal kicker in the unrespectable game of political life.
Go Ron Paul

Huckabee stands to overtake the Republican field in much the same way that Bush did in 2000. Bush did it by vilifying McCain with allegations of having a "Black child" which played upon the racial animus of the Republican Party (and the South) towards African-Americans. So, when some seemingly outlandish piece of propaganda emerges about one of the Republican front runners and voilĂ ! Huckabee wins the state, please don't say you weren't warned.
Plus, if that does come to pass and, God forbid, Huckabee wins the nomination (then, the Presidency), let's just say that the ineptitude of Bush's cabinet will pale in comparison to the one that Huckabee will put together. Sadly, many will be okay with this (in the name of Republicanism, white supremacy, hatred of liberalism, etc.)

It has all change since 2000, Huckabee will claim that Ric is his real father which will sweep him to the front of Redneck Republicans vote. Ric will say that he once wrestle in Arkansas, but could not remember where he stay in Hope Arkansas during his Gun Hunter's wresting tour.

Is it really idea to listen to a guy whose made his career getting hit over the head repeatedly with a metal chair with regards to important political issues?
Posted by: Spenser | 26 November 2007 at 04:04 PM
Yeeeeehaaaawwww! Huckabee and Rick Flair - all the way to nowhere.
