House overides Sanford on medical transportation
The House voted 86-16 today to override Gov. Mark Sanford's veto of a bill, H.4178, which establishes an advisory committee to help oversee a contract for non-emergency transportation of Medicaid patients.
The state pulled this transportation contract from existing in-state carriers this year and awarded it to two out-of-state carriers. The transportation system has been under fire for poor service since Sanford turned the system over to the new contractors in May.

Logisticare is the worst business I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN MY 46 YEARS OF LIFE.

Logisticare has no regard for the Medicaid Recipients, all about money and they should get out of the business. Their software has no accountability of the customer in the vehicles therefore fraud will always exist. Like in the 80's, they rely on signatures. Well, with all the fraud going on within the State, you would think that someone would do something about it. There are softwares available with swipe cards for accountability and every chance that Logisticare has a problem with an invoice, they take that opportunity to not pay, although it was their mistake to begin with. Every dog has their day as the CEO just sold the company and made a enormous chunk of change. Hopefully the State will recognize that in most cases that Transportation is not necessary, the recipients can get to their appointments by Public Transportation.
