A top aide to Gov. Mark Sanford is leaving the administration to serve as deputy communications director of Rudy Giuliani’s presidential campaign.
Jason Miller, who was Sanford’s 2006 campaign manager, leaves Sanford’s office April 6. After November’s election, Sanford hired Miller to be his deputy chief of staff for coalitions and strategic planning.
For Giuliani, the former New York City mayor and Republican presidential hopeful, Miller will oversee national “rapid response” while helping the campaign build its organization in South Carolina and other early primary states.
