Now there are nine....
Tonight's results were not all that surprising..although a little disappointing. Chikezie was a little slice of sunshine. He had such a nice persona. Oh well...good luck buddy. Incidentally, this hour-long results show is a killer. I'm in useless information overload!!
Here's Cathy's take:
Awwww. I really did like Chikezie and thought he had a nice voice, just had some trouble finding the right songs, thereby rendering him a bit inconsistent in his performances. But, apparently America was, indeed, feeling so patriotic last night that Kristy did not even end up in the bottom three! The shock on her face was once again evident as it has been from day one.
Not surprised that Syesha was hanging out in the loser bunch again either, glad that the voters did not send Carly back there. Last week was ridiculous! The weaker performers are being weeded out one by one with Kristy, Syesha, Ramiele, and possibly Jason making their eventual exits. The stronger ones have really got to bring their best to the table, though. America is a fickle lady when it comes to voting.
This comment comes a little late, but I just found out a bit of info on that orange bracelet David Cook was wearing when he sang the Beatles, "Eleanor Rugby". Here's a link http://www.myfoxtampabay.com/myfox/pages/Home/Detail?contentId=6008032&version=1&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=VSTY&pageId=1.1.1
I am not ashamed to admit, it brought me to tears. David Cook was trying to work his way to my favorite spot and now he has. Congratulations.
Back on the subject of this week's Idol, I am also sad to see our go-with-the-flow Chikezie go home. He did bring a ray of sunshine to the performace stage and he will be missed.
